Greetings all,
I will be speaking at the 3 annual Evolutionary Astrology Conference in Sedona, Arizona and so will be unable to the message board until April 13.
For those of you who are not attending, tapes and cds will be available for purchase.
list of lectures:
Hanne Albrechtsen
Lecture: (R)evolutionary love – Uranus and Venus
With Uranus in Pisces, higher love (Neptune) meets revolution-- leaving us shaken by the prospect of love in physical form-- and also brings freedom to explore passions unavailable in a discarnate state (Venus). As it shifts love, Uranus accelerates evolutionary intent, especially as we relate to ourselves (Taurus) and others (Libra). Pisces brings long-term loves from discarnate planes to the physical, often causing a paradoxical desire to separate from a current mate and pursue new passions. We will explore the separating and uniting forces of revolution in love through Uranus and Venus in composite charts, providing guidelines for counseling clients.
.
Deva Green
Lecture: The Four Ways Pluto/Soul Affects It’s Evolutionary Necessities
In this lecture Deva will discuss the four natural ways that the Pluto Soul expresses its evolutionary necessities. In that context, she will consider some of the possible causes for cataclysmic events, and relate them to the concepts of fate and karma. She will explore the nature of natal aspects between Pluto and the other planets, as well as Pluto’s transits. Specific case histories will illustrate each of four ways that the Soul manifests what it needs to evolve.
re is an opportunity to explore a fascinating archetype where human beings approach the status of gods and where “progress” flirts with “decadence.” We will take a look at some of the fundamental evolutionary lessons underlying the influence of Uranus— a vivid new perspective from Maurice Fernandez.
Kristin Fontana
Lecture: Opposites Attract - The Evolution of Mercury and Jupiter
From the right brain, abstract truths about the infinite and the possible flow freely. Mercury, our left brain, seeks the advice of its mentor — right brain Jupiter – but stops first to analyze what has come through, before attempting to communicate this new knowledge. The relationship between Mercury and Jupiter determines how we learn and communicate what we have learned. Neither functions properly without the other.
Kristin will guide you on a journey with Mercury and Jupiter through their evolutionary phases, across the thresholds of evolutionary gates. Learn to uncover the evolving relationship between your highest truth and your soul's self-expression!
Steven Forrest
Lecture: Reaching the Client
Psychotherapists typically build relationships with their clients in a natural, gradual way, through ongoing conversations. Pity the poor astrologer, who sometimes must sprint from “Pleased to meet you!” to profoundly serious (or even scary) information within the first 15 minutes of a reading. How can we develop trusting relationships with our clients quickly enough to meet the unique requirements of astrological counseling? The answer lies in the birth chart itself.
In his presentation, Steven will introduce a simple, effective, and chart-specific method for navigating the emotional and interpersonal dimensions of an astrological session.
Lecture: Transiting Uranus in Pisces
Uranus will stay in Pisces until the beginning of the next decade, making its transit to an individual birth chart a whole different beast. Only a very few of the counseling astrologers on the planet today have had any hands-on experience working with this unique energy. Join Steven for a practical look at how our basic Uranian theory will have to adapt to current Piscean realities.
Mark Jones
Lecture: The Fountain of Life
In this seminar, we will explore the Water signs as a map of consciousness, demonstrating how the archetypes of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces determine the blueprint of the Evolutionary Axis in any given chart. Mark will explain the nature of this axis, as we examine the dual desires within the Soul and the nature of our individuality. Using sample charts, he will present a clear explanation of the central paradigm of Evolutionary Astrology: how the process of clearly identifying our deepest orientation, on a Soul level, can illuminate for us the ways we best can grow and develop our talents
Lecture: The Search for a Homeland
Join us as we analyze the Cardinal Archetypes of Evolutionary Astrology, learning about some of the ways in which they can combine to reveal important themes of prior lives, as well as the struggles for identity and safe haven that we may have experienced during those lives.
Focusing on such examples as the generational signature of Neptune in Libra square Uranus in Cancer, and the role of Saturn/Capricorn in dysfunctional cultures, Mark will demonstrate the relationships between common prior life themes and the identity crisis facing modern humanity in the 21st century.
Kitty Kennard
Lecture: Its a Matter of Life and Death
Traumas in past lives can remain with the soul throughout later incarnations, manifesting as psychological or emotional complexes or physical symptoms. The underlying theme is often basic levels of survival, reflecting Second/Eighth House issues of death, loss, abandonment, power/powerlessness, merging and self-reliance. Energies from those prior lifetimes can add a “life or death” quality to current life areas.
Using case studies from her work in Integral Regression Therapy (which focuses on healing core soul traumas), Kitty will correlate actual past life stories with trauma signatures in the chart, showing how understanding core themes can help heal and release these symptoms.
Rose Marcus
Lecture: Chiron – The Evolutionary Perspective
How does Chiron support the soul’s intent for evolutionary growth? The Chiron signature by house, sign and aspect displays a key unresolved issue that is intended for intensified evolutionary development in the current life. Through the confronting of this healing crisis, one can eventually learn to heal this wound. In turn, one can offer a healing gift to others. Examples will be used to demonstrate the significance of consciously developing the healing mandate of the Chiron signature.
Kim Marie
Lectures: Letting Go and Second Chances – Planetary Retrogrades (two lectures)
Most birth charts contain at least a couple, and sometimes several planets traveling retrograde. Retrograde planets redefine their archetypes for a lifetime (natal), or temporarily (transits and progressions), or both. Souls choose natal planetary retrogrades when there is an evolutionary need to let go, reflect, reconsider, and re-experience any area within their soul that is resisting change. All souls receive opportunities to grow as the planets continue going retrograde during transits.
These lectures will define the retrograde archetype and consider Mercury-Pluto retrograde archetypes, both individually and collectively, as we embrace these natural, geocentric cycles that help souls evolve and grow.
Adina Mather
Lecture: Jupiter/Sagittarius - The Long and Winding Road
The archetype of Jupiter/Sagittarius/9th house reflects our quest to explore and explain our connection to the universe and the world around us and to expand our understanding and beliefs of and about that world. Our beliefs determine how we interpret our reality, our world, both inwardly and outwardly, as well as our attitudes toward life and how we live it. We will use both individual and mundane charts to explore the nature of belief systems and their connection to our perception of 'truth' and reality and will include the US chart and the charts of a few of the original American colonies.
Scott Wolfgram
Lecture: Geodetic Mapping – Cultural Signatures, Past Lives and Current Events
The geodetic map of the world takes the signs of the zodiac and wraps them around the earth. As a result, one can get a flavor of the characteristics of a culture through examining its geodetic signature. We will also look at charts of individuals to see how the geodetic locations of natal planets reveal the influences of past lives. Finally, we will explore how the geodetic “locations” of the planets can reveal their energy through both historic and current events.
Steve Wolfson
Lecture: Living the Evolutionary Paradigm - Walking the Talk
Evolutionary Astrology symbolizes the process of Life itself. Knowing this, why would an evolutionary astrologer NOT choose to go for maximum growth? Yet we, too, cling to the past, fear people's judgments, and resist stepping into the Uranian unknown. Steve will discuss EA as a path of personal growth, applying the principles to our lives on a daily basis.
It also addresses the EA community's potential as emotional support group. Human conflict is inevitable-- learning to resolve it is Art. Can we recognize unity in diversity, learn to support each other, and accept the challenges and growth possibilities of group?
